Tiffany previously worked in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties as a Staff Attorney with Maryland Legal Aid’s Southern Maryland Office where she represented children in child welfare proceedings at tumultuous, traumatic and triumphant times of their lives, including removals, termination of parental rights hearings and adoptions. Ms. Ashton understood that helping youth meant doing more than attending hearings. She understood that helping the family unit as a whole also helped the youth she represented. To this end, she worked with Family Recovery Court in Charles and St. Mary’s counties to assist families with substance abuse issues gain wrap-around services with the goal of being reunited with their children. She also worked with the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Southern Maryland’s advisory board to help implement strategies and a new curriculum for CASA appointees.

Tiffany received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from American University in 2014. She furthered her education at the University of Baltimore, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree with honors in 2017.

Tiffany is excited to continue her work in Southern Maryland and assist clients with their family law and estate planning needs.
